WHETHER you are working on your pre-holiday glow or have a specific skin issue that needs work, a Clarins facial comes highly recommended. Its Aromatic Facial is a treat for face, hands and general well being — I floated out the door afterward my treatment.
A beautician will chat with you beforehand to find out any particular concerns you may have and will assess the best products for your skin. You will then be invited to lie back and have your skin cleaned, smoothed and plumped with expertly applied products.
Regular Clarins users are well versed in the benefits of the skincare range, designed to be both natural and highly effective. But having it applied by an expert really took the impact up a notch. My skin was glowing afterward and make-up ‘sat’ better on my face for days.
You can also expect to leave with a few new tips and tricks up your sleeve. The beautician was a mine of information, advising me on techniques for applying products and suggesting improvements to my weekly routine.
n You can enjoy a complimentary Clarins aromatic facial with the purchase of two recommended Clarins skincare products. Contact Clarins at Brown Thomas Cork (021- 4805555) to book your appointment.

Nothing perks me up quicker on a grey day than spotting bright colours on my nails. Lately, though, I haven’t just been into summer polish palettes. I’ve fallen in love with Essence Stand Out 3D Touch Manicure Stickers. There are lots of great options in the pack and you can play around with them very easily for the desired effect. And they endure — the pair I’m currently wearing are still perfect after two weeks.
Tip: The directions say to hold the stickers to your nail for five seconds, but I’d recommend 10 seconds for maximum wear.

The cult beauty buy that is the Beauty Blender has a new look and make-up fans can’t wait. The latest cosmetic applicator has a pink marble effect across the entire egg-shaped sponge and I have to admit it’s rather cute. Though I can’t imagine it would look quite so cute after a few uses.
