Autumn/Winter make-up trends from Urban Decay

Urban Decay’s palette has grown up with the women who love its daring, so Vickie Maye asked make-up artist Danielle Roberts to create sophisticated looks for the season ahead.

Twenty years ago, Wende Zomnir was bored of pink and peach make-up. She wanted something different. So she created her own.

The dark lippie she made would become iconic label Urban Decay.

The edgy brand is synonymous with youth, smashing trends and expectations.

But, 20 years on, women have grown up with the brand. No surprise then classic pieces — like the Naked Palette — are big sellers too.

Collaborations with the likes of Gwen Stefani have raised the brand’s profile too, her red iconic lip a go-to for the mature, confident woman.

Urban Decay has a huge Irish following too — its Henry Street counter has been the busiest in the world each December for the past four years.

To mark their 20th anniversary, Urban Decay’s national make-up artist, Danielle Roberts, creates some iconic Urban Decay looks — we’re looking at you, smoky eye — and taps into the key Autumn/Winter trends, from liner to dark lips.

SMOKING HOT

This is the classic Urban Decay look. Danielle uses a lot of highlighter to create a hydrated, almost wet, dewy look, with glossy skin and lip to finish.
