This Year On The Red Carpet: Michelle Obama, Selena Gomez, Amber Heard, Rita Ora

We are now into the Obama White House’s final year.

Style-watchers will surely miss the most glamorous First Couple since the Kennedys. They were especially delighted by this Vera Wang dress, custom-made for the Chinese State Dinner in September.

Selena Gomez’s style has greatly improved since hiring stylist Kate Young. The leather Louis Vuitton dress and Jimmy Choosshe wore to Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is symbolic of the influence Anna Wintour’s former assistant had on Sienna Miller and Rachel Weisz.

Amber Heard married Johnny Depp in February and then travelled the world promoting Magic Mike XXL in a parade of increasingly beautiful dresses. Case in point: The Emilio Pucci gown the actress donned for the London premiere in June.

While Rita Ora’s 2015 fashion choices were sometimes esoteric, this red ballgown is just fabulous. The design is by Zak Tyler of London’s Veni Vici Couture. Ora channelled Marilyn Monroe at the March opening of Coca-Cola’s Contour Centenary Bar in Soho.
