Street Trend: Michelle Horan

Name: Michelle Horan
Age: 29
Occupation: Manager @ Tropical Popical
From: Dublin

What are you wearing? I’m wearing a Forever 21 jumper, a necklace from New York necklace, a skirt from a vintage shop in London and Air Max runners from Urban Outfitters.

Describe your style in three words? Air Max, leopard print, embellished.

How long does it take you to get dressed in the morning? About an hour.

Fashion or function — which word best describes your attitude to clothes and why? I don’t follow fashion; I just wear what I like and being warm is key.

What’s your biggest source of style inspiration? My sister.

What do you think of Irish street style? It’s getting way better. We’ve got such amazing designers coming up the ranks and you can see that influence coming through on the street. We’ve definitely moved on from the fake tan, body con dress obsession.

Where do you like to shop? I’m all about the quick hit so I love the high street for quirky finds. I also love travelling and picking bits up along the way for stuff no one else has.

Who or what is Ireland’s greatest undiscovered gem? I love the craic James Wolf has with his clothes. He mixes tailored, designer pieces with the most obnoxious prints and accessories to create a look all of his own.

Why does your style/outfit work? Because it’s mine and nobody else can be you!
