Communion style for your daughter

With spring almost sprung, Communion dresses are soon to be a hot topic for style starlings.

Given the ceremonial nature of the event, following a few simple rules should ensure the day is one to remember for the right reasons. The beauty of it all? Minimal expense and effort can be applied for maximum effect leaving you to create beautiful memories.

STYLE NOTES

  • Crowning Glory: Not a veil or tiara fan? Try a white floral garland instead.
  • Simply Does It: Both churches and bouncy castles dictate fuss-free styles that don’t overshadow or undermine the demands of the day. If in doubt, ask yourself “will it survive eight hours?” If the answer is “no”, scale back.
  • Chill Out: Don’t forget a cool weather cover-up like a light cardigan or wrap that’ll ensure goosebump-free post-church photos.
  • Be Prepared: Bring a spare pair of tights and baby wipes should a spilled drink, speed wobble or any variation of Murphy’s Law aim to besmirch your whites.
