Charlize Theron directed by lover Sean Penn

CHARLIZE THERON has called SEAN PENN the “love of my life”.

The Hollywood stars were good friends before getting romantically involved. Charlie, 39, has gushed to Elle UK’s June issue about her boyfriend.

“Putting aside that he’s my partner, he’s the love of my life,” she said.

She said of working with the star on the set of upcoming film, The Last Face: “For the first time, I felt that my work was really bleeding into my life and that made it hard. There were moments where I was incredibly unfair to him.

“And moments where I felt like... he was incredibly unfair to me. But it makes you realise that no matter how complicated it gets, the priority is the relationship.”

Sean, 54, has previously hinted he could marry Charlize and said: “Yes, I’m surprised to be in love”.

NATALIE PORTMAN has revealed she has no idea where her Oscar statuette is.

The 33-year-old actress, who won the distinctive golden figure for her performance as a ballerina in DARREN ARONOFSKY’s Black Swan, in 2010, admitted the award is not one of her prized possessions.

“I don’t know where it is. I think it’s in the safe or something. I don’t know. I haven’t seen it in a while,” she told the Hollywood Reporter.

She added: “This is literally worshipping gold idols — if you worship it. That’s why it’s not displayed on the wall. It’s a false idol.”

Natalie is making her feature-length directorial debut with the big-screen adaptation of Amos Oz’s memoir, A Tale Of Love And Darkness, which is being shot in Hebrew.

The actress has moved to Paris with her dancer husband, Benjamin Millepied, whom she met on the set of Black Swan. They have a three-year-old son, Aleph.
