Cork International Choral Festival

The Grammy Award-winning British ensemble The King’s Singers present the Thursday Gala at Cork Opera House at 8pm this evening.

Also today, the National Competition for Schools is at Cork City Hall from 10am-4.30pm; the Vocal Ensemble of Risbergska High School in Sweden perform at the Masonic Hall on Tuckey St at 11am; and the Ateneo de Manila College Glee Club is at Cork City Library on the Grand Parade at 11.30am. At 1.10pm, the Curtis Auditorium at CIT Cork School of Music hosts Music for Two Pianos featuring Teresa Trevisan and Flavio Zaccaria from Italy.

The Yoav Choir from Israel perform at AIB Bank on the South Mall at 2.30pm and again at Blarney Castle at 5pm; the Hwa Chong Choir from Singapore perform at Douglas Library at 3pm; and the Varmlands Nations Choir perform at the Lewis Glucksman Gallery at UCC at 6pm.

Tomorrow’s highlights include The National Choir of Ireland, who present An Irish Colloquy at St Fin Barre’s Cathedral at 7.30pm, and Evocations, with the Gentlemen Singers, at the North Cathedral at 10.30pm.
