ARLENE PHILLIPS could return to Strictly Come Dancing, according to reports.
The choreographer was one of the original judges, but was replaced by ALESHA DIXON in 2009, sparking an ageism row.
According to The Sun, Phillips is now being considered to fill LEN GOODMAN’s seat.
A source said: “Producers have a limited pool to pick from for Len’s replacement and they know that Arlene would be a shock to the audience, but they would love it. This time, her age actually works in her favour, as part of the BBC’s new diversity and gender targets.”
KATY PERRY has said her “heart goes out” to a man who was tricked into thinking he was dating her for six years.
The pop superstar expressed her sympathy when she appeared on US station, SiriusXM radio, on its Morning Mash Up show.
The man, named Spencer, was led to believe he was in a long-distance relationship with the ‘Firework’ hitmaker for years, as revealed on MTV programme, Catfish: The TV Show.
Perry said: “My heart goes out to him, actually. Anybody who’s been fooled like that... people have dreams and people live in different parts of the world, where not everything is so accessible.
“We live on the coasts and we get stuff in a way that some other people don’t get, and I feel bad for him. So I didn’t really like to indulge in that, because my heart, like, would die.”
DWAYNE ‘THE ROCK’ JOHNSON is the world’s highest-paid actor, according to Forbes’ latest rich list.
The wrestler-turned-Hollywood-star elbowed out Iron Man actor, ROBERT DOWNEY JR, to reach the top spot, earning $64.5m (£48.8m) from June, 2015 to June, 2016.
Johnson, 44, more than doubled his earnings from the previous year, thanks to his fees for upcoming films, Fast 8 and Baywatch, and the recent action comedy, Central Intelligence.
The amount of money Johnson can command has risen sharply after the strong box-office performances of his recent films, including the 2015 disaster movie, San Andreas, Forbes said.
JACKIE CHAN ranked second in the rich list, with €61m (£46.2m), followed by MATT DAMON, who earned €55m (£41.6m) as a result of the success of The Martian.
MARY BERRY might be the coolest octogenarian on television, but she said her life off-screen remains pretty sedate.
The Great British Bake Off judge, 81, told Good Housekeeping magazine: “On the whole, I am very law-abiding.”
She dismissed the idea of getting a tattoo, like her biggest female role model, DAME JUDI DENCH, who got one on her wrist as an 81st birthday present.
But she does have a design idea, should she change her mind.
She protested: “No, thank you! There’s absolutely no chance. My husband would loathe it!
“I don’t like tattoos, because tattoos are forever. You might change your mind — although I could have a cupcake!”
