Manchán Magan: taking viewers through a history of Ireland via its DNA, anocht ar TG4.

Nadiya Bakes

BBC Two, 8.30pm

Nadiya Hussain begins a new series showing us how to make delicious cakes and pastries. In the first episode, a traditional sponge gets a tropical twist with mango and coconut, while a scone mix is used for a blueberry scone pizza.

Gogglebox

Virgin One, 9pm

The Irish version of the show returns for a sixth series. As well as familiar faces from last year, two new families will be giving their opinions on the week's TV shows: The Saunders from Kilkenny, and Tallaght natives Gary and Lariche.

DNA Caillte

TG4, 9.30pm

Episode two of Manchán Magan's fascinating three-part series on the DNA history of Ireland. He looks at the period when Christianity and pagan beliefs both existed in the country. Evidence from burial sites in Ireland show that ancient pre-Christian beliefs continued long into the Christian era.

Documentary on Colleen LaRose, the American woman living in Ireland who became part of a jihadist conspiracy to murder a Danish cartoonist.
