1. Cooking up a Storm

Chef Clodagh McKenna will be in Douglas Court Shopping Centre today to perform two cooking demonstrations incorporating fresh produce from the stores in the centre including The Good Fish Company, The Butcher’s Block, Garden Goodness, and Crusty’s Bakery.

The free demos ar at 2pm and 3pm and will also include a refresher on how to make the perfect pancake. www.douglascourt.ie

2. Lost in Art

The RHA’s Hennessy Lost Fridays is returning this week to the Royal Hibernian Gallery at Ely Place in Dublin.

From 7pm til late, experience a carefully selected blend of cutting edge and dynamic artists, musicians, poets and creatives spread across the RHA’s stunning gallery spaces.

Tickets cost €20 plus booking fee and include two complimentary Hennessy cocktails.

3. Dead Interesting

Glasnevin Cemetery is launching its new Dead Interesting tour which takes in an alternative view of the varied heritage of Ireland’s largest cemetery.

This tour is about those buried in Glasnevin Cemetery who may not be recognised as historically significant, but led dead interesting lives such as the last Irish winner of Wimbledon or the chaplain who witnessed the liberation of Bergen Belsen.

4. Tree-mendous

To celebrate National Tree Week, Dublin Zoo is hosting a two-day experience next Saturday and Sunday.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the importance of trees and how to plant and grow them, plus take part in wildlife inspired workshops and take home a complimentary tree to plant at home.

5.  Top of the Pops

The Cork Pops Orchestra’s Schools Concerts in City Hall, Cork take place on March 8 at 10am and 12pm.
