Westlife’s Lissadell appearance ends seven-year Sligo absence

WESTLIFE took to the stage last night at Lissadell House as part of a three- day music weekend in Sligo.

Singer Kian Egan said: “It felt surreal to be getting up... and preparing to play a concert in [my] home town.”

The You Raise Me Up singers have not played in Sligo, home town of three of the band’s members, for seven years.

Canadian singer- songwriter Leonard Cohen will take to the stage this evening and tomorrow.

An estimated 30,000 fans are expected to gather at the historic Lissadell estate over the course of the three nights.
