Sex and the City bash for charity

MANOLO Blahniks at the ready and Fendis in hand, because the cosmos are on ice waiting for an invasion of Sex and the City wannabes.

Cork is preparing itself for an invasion of fans of Carrie and friends tonight as Cubins nightclub plays host to a Sex and the City party. Party-goers have been asked to dress as characters from the hit TV series.

Money raised will go to a Cork-based cancer charity.

The manager at Cubins, Seán Walsh, said tonight would be extra-special for him, having had first-hand experience of dealing with cancer.

“This event is really about fun and fundraising. I had a brush with prostate cancer myself in 2007 and got fantastic treatment from every-one at Cork University Hospital. When I recovered I wanted to put something back. A group of friends joined me and our aim is to raise €50,000 for Aid Cancer Treatment at CUH,” he said.

The party starts at 10pm and tickets cost €10. Guests will enjoy complimentary cosmos on arrival.
