Samsung launch new smartphone

Samsung’s new phone, the Galaxy Alpha Blue, has been launched today.

The phone sports a sophisticated new look and is now the slimmest of the Samsung smartphones.

New features include an enhanced camera and a fingerprint scanner and the model comes in five colours – black, white, gold, silver and blue.

Samsung has partnered with Carphone Warehouse for launch, and the model will be exclusive to Carphone Warehouse stores.

The company have also partnered with apps Deezer, Dropbox and Endomondo. These apps are pre-uploaded to the smartphone to enhance the user experience.

Deezer, one of the largest music streaming services, will also offer Samsung customers six months of free access to their premium service which normally costs an additional €60. Customer will have a catalogue of more than 30 million music tracks to choose from.

The model will be exclusive to Carphone Warehouse who have helped organise a competition to coincide with the launch of the model.

The company has partnered with Ireland AM and Xpose stylist Courtney Smith and Director of Cork Fashion Week Emer O’Mahony.

Both fashion guru’s will host an ‘Alpha Pairs’ competition to find the most stylish couple. Winners will receive a Samsung Galaxy Alpha Blue.

This activity will be taking place tomorrow in Dundrum between 11am and 1pm, in Pavilions between 2pm and 4pm and in Mahon Point Shopping Centre between 1pm and 3pm.
