TWO quick-witted online clothing entrepreneurs are hoping to sell truck-loads of their new “cementgate” T-shirts.
Freshmilk Clothing founders Kevin O’Leary and Cillian Moore were planning to sell a new T-shirt online yesterday lampooning the resumption of the Dáil.
But events on Kildare Street inspired a new design – “Free the cementgate one” – which was on sale by lunchtime.
They even slashed the price from €26 to €20, and the garments flew out the door.
Kevin and Cillian founded Freshmilk in Cork earlier this year “to provide fun, stylish and fresh fashion to a frustrated public”.
The friends, who have an interest in politics, and in mischief, said they aim to “grab the recession by the scruff of the neck and give it a good kick up the backside”.
“We’re not here to please everyone with some middle of the road pleasantries, from the cut of the tees to the designs we are looking for an edge wherever possible,” Cillian said.
