One Direction to split up next year

One Direction are going to split in March of next year for at least a year.

According to a reports, the band will not be touring their fifth album, due to be released at Christmas.

The planned “extended hiatus” comes just five months after Zayn Malik left the band. It is believed the split is to allow Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson to pursue other solo projects.

“They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100% behind the decision. It is definitely not a split and they fully intend to get back together. But for now it is the end and they go out as the world’s most popular music act,” a source told The Sun.
