Inquiry after car fatally falls on man

A full investigation is to be carried out into how a car came tumbling down on a young man in Co Donegal, killing him instantly.

Young father of three John Campbell Jr died at his home at in Castecarn, Kilcar, following the tragedy on Tuesday night.

The 28-year-old was the son of Finn Harps FC stalwart John Campbell.

He is survived by his heartbroken wife Noelle and their three children Evan, Mia and Eva.”

Gardaí at Carrick are carrying out an investigation into the cause of the incident but it is understood officers are treating the incident as a tragic accident.

His father, a former Finn Harps chairman who works as the club’s secretary and director of Finn Harps Schools, posted a picture of him with his son together on his Facebook page.

He wrote: “Memories that no-one can steal.”

Facebook and Twitter have been flooded with tributes to John Jr.

John’s sister, Claire Campbell, posted on her Facebook timeline: “Our whole world just fell u so much john.”

John’s funeral Mass will take place at 12pm in St Cartha’s Church, Kilcar, on Friday.
