Man injured in shooting

A 23-YEAR-OLD man has been seriously injured in a shooting in Tallaght in Dublin.

The victim is understood to have opened his door to a gunman in Allenton Estate at around 8pm last night. He was shot a number of times in the chest and arms.

The man was taken to Tallaght Hospital and the scene was preserved for technical examination.

The Garda are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them at Tallaght Garda Station.
