Children’s hospital plan

IRELAND’S three main children’s hospitals have met over their planned merger.

The boards of the National Children’s Hospital, Tallaght, the Children’s University Hospital, Temple Street, and Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, met last night in Tallaght.

The first meeting of the hospital boards is a major step to the development of a single proposal for the governance of the new children’s hospital, which will soon be presented to Health Minister Mary Harney and the HSE.
