Has the President freed up schedule in expectation of visitor to the Áras?

President Michael D Higgins has left his schedule entirely free on Tuesday and Wednesday, leading to speculation that he is expecting an interesting visitor.

To call an election Taoiseach Enda Kenny must go to Áras an Uachtaráin to ask the President to dissolve the current Dáil. It is thought Mr Kenny will call the election early next week.
