First for Adare Manor as it clinches travel ‘Oscar’

Adare Manor has been named ‘World’s leading Boutique Golf Resort’, the first time an Irish property has won a World Travel Award at global level.

The accolade was announced at the World Travel Awards in New Delhi, India. The ceremony, now in its 19th year, is considered to be the Oscars of the travel industry.

Anita Higgins, Adare Manor general manager, said the hotel was delighted to be the first ever Irish property to win a World Travel Award at global level.

“This reflects the ethos of unparalleled excellence of service and facilities across the whole resort,” she said.

“We are very proud of, and would like to sincerely thank, all of the dedicated team at Adare Manor whose work, dedication and exceptionally high standards have put us above all of our worldwide competitors in this category.”

Graham Cooke, president and founder, World Travel Awards, said the past year had continued to challenge every area of travel, tourism and hospitality.
