Children’s hospital project should not suffer because of politics

The new children’s hospital. Where is it? It has been 10 years of promise after promise, with nothing to show, not even a shovel of sod turned.

Children’s health has worsened, or they have died, waiting for a better hospital in which to get healed or have their short lives prolonged. There is no excuse.

Just one tenth of the yearly interest paid on the country’s banking debt would pay for a first class children’s hospital. To the politicians out there, I say ‘make it so’.
