Bidders instantly offer asking price for West Cork farm

As the end of the year approaches and with the end of the milk quota restrictions just around the corner, the hunger for good pasture land is being felt in all parts, as illustrated by the case of a 28- acre holding fresh to the market with Dunmanway-based Lehane & Associates.

The non-residential property has, according to the agents, “a proven record of a long grazing season”.

This makes the property ideal for the progressive dairy farmer.

No sooner had the ‘for sale’ sign boards gone up on the land at Milleenagun, Co Cork, (8km from Dunmanway and 13km from Clonakilty), than it had already achieved its asking price of €250,000 (€8,900/acre).
