Victory for real butter

Aurivo Co-Op has heralded a victory for real butter with its Connacht Gold topping a blind tasting conducted by St Angela’s Food Technology Centre in Sligo.

The western dairy co-op also cites Nielsen Yellow Fats data which shows Connacht Gold’s butter performing ahead of the category. The overall yellow fats category is experiencing a decline in sales.

Aurivo’s Lydia Rogers said: “We are thrilled with the success of Connacht Gold butter, the encouraging sales and the recent blind taste tests results. We have more exciting plans for the brand and look forward to continued success.”
