Set on 52 acres of what the selling agents describe as “top class Golden Vale lands”, Longstone Stud represents a unique property offering multiple possibilities from equestrian to dry cattle and dairying.
The property is located just outside Cullen village, Co Tipperary. This is in the heart of the Scarteen Hunt territory and the farm is well known in horseracing circles.

“The residence is absolutely spectacular,” says Richard Ryan of Kilmallock-based GVM Auctioneers, who is selling the impressive property jointly with Paddy Jordan of Jordan Town & Country Estates of Newbridge, Co Kildare.

The major renovation project was started in the early 2000s, involving the addition of an extension to the original period home.

In terms of access to potential markets, the property is also very well placed. It is just 10 minutes from the Limerick Junction railway station, which has regular connections to Cork and Dublin.

It’s not necessarily going to be an equestrian-minded buyer that will next own this property, but so far, many of the strong queries are coming from that sector, according to the agents.
“It’s still early days but we’re very pleased with the level of interest so far,” says Richard. “The enquiries are coming from all sectors but most of them are coming from either the ‘lifestyle’ point of view or the equestrian point of view. That’s where the main levels of interest are.”
The price of €1,100,000 seems to accurately reflect the farm’s considerable assets.
