This 82-acre farm which is close to the tourist town of Ballydehob in the heart of west Cork is being sold in four different lots.
IN THE heart of second-home country, an 82-acre farm at Greenmount Ballydehob, offers a choice of two west Cork houses.
The property is being sold in lots through John Hodnett of SWS Property Services.
Located a mile-and-a-half from the tourist village, the property has mixed lands and two stone farmhouses in need of renovation.
The first lot is a 60-acre parcel of heavy land which is ideal for forestry, says John Hodnett and it’s under offer at €175,000.
Lot B includes a typical west Cork farmhouse with some sheds and 3.5 acres: this is under offer at €195,000 and at that level could be seen as good value considering the location. Mind, the renovation costs will add to the price.
The third lot, C, comprises a second, long farmhouse, some sheds and 12.91 acres of ground and this is under offer at €270,000, a price which reflects the addition of some of the farm’s better pasture land.
The final portion, Lot D is some five acres of good grazing and is on offer at €120,000.
Overall, the agent hopes to make in the region of €800,000 to €850,000 for this private treaty sale and says that farm sales like this usually do well, as the smaller parcels attract a broader range of buyers.
