Demand for land in the Golden Vale hotspots of southern Tipperary seems to be continuing unabated, despite many other areas coming up in value to rival this part of Munster.

A small 18-acre land parcel in the area is new to the market with Cashel Livestock & Property Sales, and should set another strong price given its location and its quality.

The property in question is at Shanbally, close to the village of Lisronagh, and roughly mid-distance between Clonmel (6km to the south) and Fethard (7km to the north).

“The land is of excellent quality in a very sought-after area,” says selling agent Alison De Vere Hunt.

There are about two acres of forestry on it and the last payments are this year

"The rest is in tillage with a fairy fort in the right-hand top corner," she adds.

Access is good with a public road running along most of its northern bounds. The holding is in one single field and, therefore, very easy to manage.

The price guide of €30,000/acre is not out of line by any means for a neat self-contained land parcel of this quality and in this location.
