Watch: European election candidate's bizarre video has taken Twitter by storm

Dublin European election candidate Ben Gilroy has raised a lot of eyebrows as he and his "hurley stick" star in a viral campaign video.

Anti-eviction activist Gilroy takes aim at "state corruption", "constitution violations", "stealing wealth", "unlawful evictions" and national broadcaster RTÉ in the video which is nearly two-and-a-half minutes in length.

Last week, Mr Gilroy was in the High Court after he brought an action against the State broadcaster for excluding him in tonight's scheduled televised debate.

One eagle-eyed observer was unimpressed with the quality of the hurley.

Another questioned whether Mr Gilroy's policies were relevant for the office he is bidding for.

While others just enjoyed the rollercoaster that was this video.
