They only went and did it - Kellogg's have created a white chocolate version of Coco Pops and so far, the reaction has been quite mixed.

Taking to their Facebook page today, the brand said:

"Just landed…WHITE CHOC COCO POPS! That’s right, you heard it here first. Get your hands on a pack now!"

"Packs are hitting Tesco and Asda stores this week, with other major supermarkets to follow shortly", they added in the comment section.

According to brand manager, Katy Bailey, the company are continuously flooded with requests from consumers on social media, so they've decided to give the people what they want.

"In response to our fans, and the growing desire for white chocolate varieties of popular foods, we wanted to see if it was possible to create a white chocolate Coco Pops that tastes as good as the original," she said.

Our food developers have succeeded and for the first time in the cereal’s 50 year history a white chocolate version will hit the shops
