Waterford may sell off German unit
Kilbarry: Waterford Wedgwood has reportedly hired JP Morgan Casenove as corporate advisers to a strategic review of its German-based porcelain goods manufacturing division, Rosenthal.
It is thought that the move could eventually lead to a sale of the division.
Waterford management has made no comment as to its plans for Rosenthal, but it is estimated that the company’s German arm which had sales of around €170 million last year — could fetch between €150 million and €200 million.
