This 17-acre holding at Glinny, Riverstick, Co Cork, is perfect for a farmer looking for that extra bit.
The location close to Kinsale will bring in the hobby farm buyer for this land at Glinny, Riverstick, says auctioneer Denis Ryan.
He’s selling this 17-acre holding by private treaty.
Comprising top quality south Cork tillage land, it will, however, also draw wide farmer interest, especially considering that it’s a low-level acquisition, financially.
“It’s a lovely bit of ground, free-draining, in two fields and one block, and it’s set at the moment.”
Ryan quotes a guide price of €200,000 for the land, which comes with excellent road frontage, he says.
Just off the Forest Road, between Ballygarvan and Carrigaline, it’s a high demand area for one-off houses, and there could be buyers for that direction, he says.
However, it’s perfect for a farmer looking for that extra bit of land too, he says, so there could be competitive bidding.
“It’s a lovely bit of ground, and my job is to get as much for it as I can,” he quips.
nSimilar tillage ground, at Aghamarta, Carrigaline, and within walking distance of Fountainstown and Myrtleville, is bid to €12,000 at the moment through auctioneer, Christy Buckley.
Again flagged as a potential residential site, the 28 acres of land carries a guide of €13,000 per acre and can be sold in the entire or in one or two lots.
