SET on a hilltop above Glounthaune, this spacious Tudor-style property offers marvellous views across the harbour as well as large, professionally landscaped gardens which come spring, are set to fill up with colourful blooms.
The attractive four-bed house is one of around 30 or so one-off detached properties with large gardens built at Tower Hill during the 1990s. After they had built it, the owners brought in the late Brian Cross, one of Cork’s best known garden designers who lived in the area, to give shape and colour to their almost one acre site.

The front of the house faces the road, while the back looks on to the sloping gardens and the harbour and has the largest windows and the best views.
The owner said that when she asked for large windows, her architect joked that she wanted to live in a glasshouse. But he gave her what she wanted, designing it so that the kitchen, reception rooms and the master bedrooms all had light and harbour views.
Offering just over 2,500 s ft of living space the property has generous sized reception rooms with nine foot high ceilings.
