HIDDEN away, quiet but within a few minutes’ walk of Cork city centre is the residential enclave Parkowen, just off Quaker Road.
There’s a good green play area just beneath, with pedestrian access to Douglas Street, and Parkowen has always been popular with owner occupiers and investors alike.
Now, agent Lucy Wolfe has the renovated No 13 Parkowen, newly up for sale, and she seeks offers of €195,000 for the three-bed townhouse. It has two reception rooms, a small kitchen, ground floor bathroom and three overhead bedrooms, with a small front garden and a rear yard.
Meanwhile, for €30k less, the same agent has the two/three-bedroomed 21 Hibernian Buildings, on Albert Road near Cork’s City Hall. She says that the compact €165,000 property is ‘priced to sell.’
