Market static on state of eurozone

The ISEQ index fell 0.26 points yesterday, to close at 3,084.48, as investors continue to fret about eurozone political uncertainties and the outlook for global growth.

In the financial sector, Bank of Ireland slipped 0.4c to 8.6c. AIB gained 0.4c to 7c. Irish Life & Permanent was unchanged at 3.3c, while insurance group FBD Holdings fell 26.4c to €8.10.

In the construction sector, CRH has announced it has transferred its 49% holding in Portuguese building materials company, Secil, to Semapa and has received net cash proceeds of €564.5m. Shares CRH dropped 12c to €13.77. Grafton remained at €3.11, while Kingspan progressed 0.4c to €7.34.
