Irish recruitment firm expanding operations in China

RECRUITMENT firm is expanding its business presence in China to almost 100 cities, up from its current 25 bases.

The Irish company anticipates huge growth in its online business. China, with 460 million internet users — 33% of the population — recently surpassed Japan as the second largest economy in the world.

Chief executive Ciaran McCooey said: “This is a very significant development for, which has already developed a strong international footprint. China is one of the world’s most dynamic online markets and online recruitment is at the leading edge of development in the Chinese economy.

“While the market represents a great challenge, we have identified an opportunity with great potential for the company. With our existing presence and market knowledge, we are ideally positioned to take full advantage of the opportunity.”

Headquartered in Dublin, has immediate openings for ten senior management positions based throughout China.

It currently employs 1,000 people in 25 Chinese cities, and is investing significantly in its expansion programme.
