Honeywell seeking 87 redundancies

VOLUNTARY redundancy terms have been agreed for workers at US multinational, Honeywell Transportation in Waterford.

The company is seeking 87-plus voluntary redundancies.

Unions and management agreed a voluntary redundancy package at a Labour Relations conciliation conference.

The agreed terms are statutory entitlement plus an ex-gratia payment of five weeks per year of service. There will also be payment in lieu of notice and an outplacement payment of €2,750 per employee.
