THE new €25 million TV audience measurement contract for Ireland has been awarded to AGB Nielsen Media Research and Behaviour and Attitudes.
The decision follows a detailed evaluation over the past four months of proposals received from international research agencies by the body representing broadcasters and advertising agencies, Television Audience Measurement Ireland Ltd (TAM Ireland).
The contract will begin in September 2010 for five years. The new measurement system will be based on a panel of 1,050 homes and will provide detailed viewing data of 400 channels.
