TULLAMORE Show, the biggest in the country, which had to be cancelled last year due to wet weather, will be held this year on August 10.
Incorporating the AIB national livestock show, the event is expected to be the largest ever with 45 national titles at stake, over 500 trade exhibitors in attendance and over 50,000 visitors anticipated.
Taoiseach Brian Cowen, who launched the show at Government Buildings, said it was a credit to the Tullamore Show executive that the event was such a success over the years.
Chairman Tom Maher paid tribute to the support of sponsors, traders and exhibitors in the past year. This went a long way to pay the €500,000 expenses after the cancellation of last year’s show, he said.
