Patrick Hickey was the “big leader”  of the OCI’s ticketing operation, police in Brazil were told in interviews today with two OCI officials, a top detective said last night.

Another strong aftershock has rattled quake-ravaged central Italy,  reportedly causing more damage to crumbled buildings in hard-hit Amatrice.

Aftershocks in central Italy have rattled residents and rescue workers trying to find more earthquake survivors.  A day after a shallow quake killed 250 people and levelled three small towns, a 4.3 magnitude aftershock sent up plumes of thick dust in the hard-hit town of Amatrice.

Pre-tax profits at Irish mobile technology company Zamano sunk by almost a third to €794,000  in the opening half of the year despite an 80% surge in sales during the period.
