Four people have died on Ireland's roads since last night. The latest fatality happened at around 4.45am in Co Donegal when a car a van were involved in a head-on collision on the N13 at Trimragh, Letterkenny.

Almost 15,000 signatures have been gathered in less than 24 hours in an attempt to stop the sale of 5,000 acres of land in the Dublin Mountains.

A young father from Co Offaly has been jailed for eight years for his part in the killing of 47-year-old Christy Daly two years ago.
