Woman mauled by polar bear in Germany

A woman has suffered serious injuries after being mauled by a polar bear at Berlin Zoo.

The 32-year-old leapt into the moat surrounding the bear's pen and was attacked.

The bears at the zoo attracted great media attention in 2007 after the birth of the cub Knut, who was abandoned by its mother.
