Watch what Donald Trump says about building a wall when he's with the president of Mexico and when he's not

We’re not sure whether Donald Trump is so used to being in front of the cameras that he’s basically forgotten he’s being filmed, or whether he thinks we have short term memory loss – but something’s definitely up with two of his most recent speeches.

On the morning of August 31, Trump gave a press conference in Mexico City standing next to the country’s president Enrique Pena Nieto and said the pair “didn’t discuss” who would be paying for this infamous wall he wants to build between the US and Mexico.

Then later on that same day he told supporters at a rally in Phoenix, Arizona that Mexico will pay for the wall “100%”.

See for yourself …

And then, to make things even more baffling, president Nieto tweeted (yes, also that same day): “At the beginning of the conversation with Donald Trump, I made clear that Mexico would not pay for the wall.”

Confused? Yeah, us too.
