Three people were killed and 50 others injured when an Iranian passenger bus overturned in south-eastern Turkey today, the state-run news agency said.
The Anatolia news agency said the accident happened in Sanliurfa province, close to the Syrian border, as the bus was on its way to Syria from Iram. The cause of the crash was not known.
The agency said the injured passengers were transported to nearby hospitals.
Thousands of people are killed in accidents on Turkey’s roads each year because of careless driving or poor road conditions.
