Sherpa's Everest record bid

A Nepalese Sherpa guide is seeking to break his own record and scale Mount Everest for the 19th time.

Sherpa Appa said that besides attempting to set the new record he and his team mates also planned to carry down sackloads of rubbish from Everest and educate other climbers about the negative effects of human waste on the mountain.

The team will make its summit bid in May.
