See the moment security forces disarm a teenage suicide bomber in Iraq

Footage claiming to show Kurdish security forces remove a bomb belt from a teenager before defusing it has emerged online.

The video is said to show the tense moment a teenage suicide bomber in the Iraqi city of Kirkuk is disarmed by officers last night.

Law enforcement personnel are seen holding the boy, who was said to be aged between 12 and 13, while another is defusing the device attached to his body.

Rudaw reported one security official saying: "There is a dangerous campaign tonight against Kirkuk."

The arrest was also reported by the Kurdish Kurdistan24 channel which posted the incident on their YouTube channel.

He was taken to a police car after being arrested, but there were no details on where the boy had planned to stage the attack.
