A man convicted of assaulting a 10-year-old girl in the US tried to stab a prosecutor in court during his case.
Joshua Harding, aged 35 and from Michigan, was sentenced on Wednesday after being convicted of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Harding, who had sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl in a cemetery, hid a piece of metal up his sleeve and launched himself at a prosecutor as the jury came into the courtroom with their verdict.
He was given 20 years in prison during sentencing this week which did not mention the courtroom attack that happened on August 2.
The footage shows assistant prosecutor Jonathan Roth escape harm at the last second before Harding was tackled and wrestled to the ground by officers.
It is reported that Harding will have another court appearance to face charges in connection with the incident.
