Queen praised at Diamond Jubilee celebration of the arts

In the UK - Bono, Joan Collins and Paul McCartney have led the praise for the Queen tonight, as she attended a Diamond Jubilee celebration of the arts.

Hundreds of celebrities from the worlds of music, dance and art gathered to pay tribute at the Royal Academy of Arts in central London.

Paul McCartney has declared that he was a "huge fan" of the Queen.

And Bono praised the Queen for her trip to Ireland last year.
