Police start removing barricades used in Hong Kong demos

Police in Hong Kong have begun removing barricades erected two weeks ago by protesters.

The Occupy Central group has been surrounding sites in the city, calling for China to grant full democracy to the former British colony.

Hong Kong's government has said the demonstrations are illegal.
