Police seize 3,000kg of cocaine in Spain

Spanish police have seized 3,000kg of cocaine and arrested 12 people, including Spaniards, Britons and Dutch citizens.

A police statement said the drug load was seized in Spain’s north-western region of Galicia but was destined for the southern Costa del Sol tourist area.

No more details regarding the operation were immediately available.

The statement said it was the biggest drug haul on land in the region in nearly 20 years.
