In the UK, the parents of six children who were killed following a house fire in Derby have been charged with their murder.

Mick and Mairead Philpott were arrested on Tuesday.

The couple, who made tearful appeals for information at a press conference in the days afterwards, were charged last night.

They lost six children - aged between five and 13 - after a fire broke out at their home in Derby in the early hours of May 11.
