Obama vows full force of law against rogue soldier

The US President has said the full force of the law will be used against an American soldier who killed 16 Afghan civilians.

The rogue serviceman carried out the attack in the early hours of Sunday morning.

In Afghanistan, students have been demonstrating against the presence of foreign troops and called for the soldier to face a public trial.

Barack Obama said the killing of civilians is "outrageous and unacceptable".
